Project Topic: The "Sustainable New Materials in Design" project, jointly implemented by Istanbul Technical University, the Technical University of Madrid, and PSL University of Paris, has been awarded in the 3rd EELISA Joint Call. The project aims to develop innovative and multidisciplinary digital production methods that will encourage the use of sustainable new materials in design, and to explore experimental solutions with the participation of scholarship students to problems identified by industry stakeholders. In a problem-solving focus group event held in Madrid from March 3-6, 2025, and evaluated by an international jury, task groups including ITU students won first- and third-place awards for their solution proposals and prototypes. The project, which is also supported by the Madrid Circular Economy Innovation Center (CIEC Madrid), is led by Assoc. Prof. Deniz ARTAN, a faculty member in the Civil Engineering Department at ITU.
