Scope of the study: The project involves shaking table experimental tests on a scaled precast reinforced concrete (RC) building. These tests will be conducted under 3D loading conditions both with and without the installation of DDs (Damping Devices).
The primary goals of the experiments are to investigate the effectiveness of the DDs in preventing damage at different performance limit states and conditions:
• Damage Limitation State (DLS): Preventing damage to non-structural elements (like roof-hung piping and facilities).
• Life Safe Limit State (LSS): Preventing damage to structural elements (columns, beams, roof-slabs, and cladding panels).
• Near Collapse Limit State (NCS): Preventing local or global collapse.
