The project titled “Multi-scale and Multi-functional Unit-based Techniques for Upcycling Concrete and Demolition Waste from Post-Earthquake Concrete Structures”, carried out in collaboration between TÜBİTAK and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), aims to innovatively upcycle construction and demolition waste (CDW) generated after earthquakes. Within the scope of the project, the reuse potential of CDW in various configurations (e.g., aggregates, concrete segments) is assessed with the goal of integrating them into new structures in accordance with their functions and properties. These efforts aim to provide rapid, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly solutions for post-earthquake reconstruction processes.
